A few more favorites of Miss M.– who I had the opportunity to meet on Christmas Eve! She was the fastest stair climber and hill runner I have ever met! To think my youngest son wasn’t even walking at her age. She is also one of the most adored toddlers I have ever met, and her parents interacted so well with her. What a great family! It didn’t hurt that she had some of the most stunning violet blue eyes I have ever seen.
Trying something new for fun!! Help this family get some free prints! If this post gets 15 comments, they receive a free gift print (5×7, 4×6, or set of 8 wallets)! If they receive more than 30 comments, I will give them a free mini-collage of my choice from their session:)!!!

With the craziness of the holidays and our flight back to Wyoming quickly approaching, I wanted to surprise my clients with a sneak peek of the session we just had tonight! It might take me a few extra days to get their gallery proofed and ready to view, so in the meantime here are two images from tonight.

As the holidays approach, it is time for family and friends to gather and celebrate and show each other all the love that you can see these two had for their beautiful daughter! Merry Christmas everyone.

Can’t forget a pic of my new “little sister” Minto! My grandparents got a puppy last summer, and the grandsons all adore her! So do the grandparents, she is a little spoiled:)

This last week has been quite a blur! We made the 18 hour drive from Wyoming to Tucson, packed up all the furniture and belongings we had in our Tucson home (which my husband has already transported back), and all got sick–with my oldest son having pneumonia. Boy, am I glad tomorrow is a new week!! Despite all the craziness, we are happy to be visiting family. Here are a few random snaps from the week of the boys, their cousin, and their aunt from California!

Whew, what a week! After an 18 hour drive down to Tucson, we spent the week boxing and packing up our house here and loading up a trailer for my husband to take to our home in Wyoming. Now he is making the tedious drive home to unload the trailer and go back to work–I am a lucky wife–he let us stay to enjoy the holidays. Which has been hard with both my boys getting very sick. Hopefully they will feel better soon.

I did get to have a little fun this week, photographing this beautiful family who won a mini-session in a raffle that benefits the March of Dimes! I really enjoyed their children–a 4 year old who reminded me so much of my older son–very talkative, inquisitive, and pretty easy to please with a bag of Skittles–and a 2 year old who was just precious and adored her big brother so much that she wanted to pose exactly like him every time!

How to confuse a three year old.  Tell him he is flying to Tucson to visit his grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousin, and friends.  Change mind and decide to drive down.  Get out various suitcases and bags.  Five days before you are leaving.  Discuss all the fun things you are going to do.  When you get there.  We have one very confused and excited little boy here!  Ready to leave for Tucson in two days (“that is just too far away mommy”).  He is probably going to say “are we there yet” for 16 (plus) hours straight!!

I had the opportunity last weekend to meet with another local (in Wyoming terms) photographer last weekend. We talked about photography, business, and brainstormed some really amazing ideas that will benefit our clients and other aspiring photographers in the area! She warned me that 2pm was nap time for her three boys! So, of course at 2:30pm we decide we really should take a few photos before we left. The four boys that could run disappeared before we could say “cheese”, but this little guy didn’t stand a chance! Here is his five minute shoot, before he kicked us out for his nap!!

Someone cleverly pointed out that I should take pictures of the beautiful frost we woke up to! Being all warm and cozy inside–and having a fun day hanging out with my three year old, I missed capturing the magical frosted trees before it disappeared . But, I was inspired to bring my camera when we finally went out to get fresh air. It was a beautiful winter day, just ask Mr. Squirrel (it took me a few seconds to remember why I took a photo of a log, haha).

My sister-in-law called me about doing Christmas pics of her kids, but after talking it over with her husband, they decided a new family photo was overdue. Winter has come to Wyoming, so taking pics outdoors with dramatic scenery and three small children is pretty much out of the question. We settled for their yard and quickly ran in and out of the house to stay warm. Surprisingly my five month old nephew was the only one of the five who made eye contact and smiled for the whole series of shots!! What a trooper!

We had to grab a few snaps of baby Korbin in his Christmas hat! Look how well I got him to smile!
Okay those smiles weren’t for me!
But this one was!

I had a great time working with Katie a few weeks ago for senior pics. The weather changes every hour in Wyoming, so we found an afternoon where the wind…well it wasn’t so bad. Katie brought her best friend, who made her laugh the whole session, and we all had a lot of fun. Check out the little sneak peek of the mini-album and collage we put together with her favorite images.
