Sweet Caroline

I first met this new family of four when they were pregnant with older brother, Parker. He was on my one year baby plan, so I have had the pleasure of celebrating many milestones with this family. Parker slept like a dream through his newborn session, so I was a little nervous when I pulled up to their home. What parents get two easy babies? I give simple instructions to follow that help babies sleep during the session, but part of it is just luck! I didn’t need to worry, Caroline was just as dreamy as her big brother. I have had so much fun watching this family grow, I am already counting down until next time!
Why do newborns need to be asleep for their session?
Newborns pose best when they are settled in a deep sleep. This always me to gently place them on the bean bag and tuck in their arms and legs in the adorable, natural poses you see throughout my site. In a deep sleep, baby is content and full. We don’t have to worry about flailing limbs or fingers scratching their faces. They aren’t looking for their next meal or wriggling with an upset tummy. Sleepy babies are happy babies!
What if my baby doesn’t sleep?
Most babies sleep well with the simple preparation instructions including a full belly and warm room. If your baby does not settle, we will move on to lifestyle family shot and awake wrapped shots until they do fall asleep.
