Q: What type of sessions do you offer?

A: I specialize in outdoor family photography and in-home newborn sessions. Although the majority of my clients are young families, I welcome maternity through high school seniors! I occasionally photograph small, intimate weddings with 40 guests or less.

Q: What is your photography style?

A: In every session, I aim to capture the light and love between family members. I may occasionally guide families into flattering poses, but allow a lot of room for wiggles and natural interactions. My photographs are clean and warm with a little whimsy. And always love and light.

Q: What is required to get on your calendar?

A: I require a session retainer of $150 to put you in the calendar. I will work hard to find a night that works very best for you! The retainer is non-refundable but may be transferred to another date in the calendar year due to illness or schedule conflict. I just ask that you let me know as soon as possible!

Q: How many images will be in my gallery?

A: Your gallery will include the best 40-70 fully edited images from your session. After viewing your gallery you have THREE days to pick your images and order your digital collection. Collections begin at $350.

Q: What cleaning do I need to do for an in-home newborn or family session?

A: If you have a newborn or small kids (heck any kids), don’t feel like you need to deep clean your home. This being said, I do recommend the following:

  • Clear floors and surfaces of clutter, and remove any items you don’t want appearing in photographs.
  • Vacuum, dust, make beds, and generally clean your home. This will ensure that all surfaces gleam and sparkle in the photographs!
  • I will select rooms with plenty of natural light for our photography. Even if a space looks uninteresting to you, if it’s full of beautiful light, include it in your cleaning!

Q: What should we wear?

A: Please do not wear all matching outfits! Pick an outfit you love (I recommend shopping for mom first) and then build the rest of your outfits from there. Stick to a color palette of 3-4 colors that work well together. I would be happy to create a custom Pinterest board with ideas for your session. For indoor lifestyle and newborn sessions soft neutrals and pastels help keep the focus on baby.
