February is the loveliest month of all. It falls between the holidays and a new season. My photography has slowed down just a bit in the winter months, as I work on behind the scenes tasks and get ready for warmer months. I have also been lucky enough to spend some time with beautiful newborns.
Valentine’s Day feels like a nice celebration to get us through these long winter days. Even if you don’t have a newborn, one of my favorite ways to celebrate is at home! It is typically cold and nothing says romance to me like curling up at home with loved ones!
If food and drinks are your love language, I suggest making a cheese tray and opening a bottle of wine.
This whipped goat cheese is to die for! It would make the perfect app for your Valentine’s celebration. (Or eat the whole thing and call it dinner. It is so good!)

To involve the kids, I would make a special valentines treat! Something simple like chocolate dipped strawberries are a huge hit! And so yummy! Heart shaped cut out cookies with pink frosting and red sprinkles are a personal favorite of mine.
If you are looking to get out of the house and enjoy a great meal with someone you care about, there are plenty of local restaurants who are running specials Friday – Monday to help celebrate the holiday of love! Check out this list!
