I was excited and a little surpised when this family reached out to share that they were expecting their third child! I had photographed their last baby, Shirley Jo, a little over two years ago. I remember how calm and happy her parents were, how excited her brother was to hold her for a few seconds, and how wide awake she was when I wrapped her up in a cute pink blanket and stuck her in a crate! He was so responsible and held baby Ruby like a pro! He even helped Shirley Jo stay engaged for some sweet sibling shots!
Scheduling a newborn session can seem overwhelming when you have one or more toddlers running around at home! This is partially why I love in-home newborn sessions with siblings. I always begin the session with the sibling and family images. If the siblings are still cooperating, we will continue to include them as much as they would like. When they are completely done with photos, they are done! Then we focus on mom with baby, dad with baby and baby alone!
