What do you do if you want to book a Boulder first year session outdoors, but your baby was born in the winter?!! The weather in Colorado this time of year is typically sunny, but chilly with occasional snowstorms to keep us on our toes! After a busy fall, my winter schedule for family photography slows down, so we can work around snowstorms or meet at a local studio rental and do things indoors! I am so glad we kept this January session outdoors. The light was so magical and the earlier sunset worked perfect for two small kids. There was room to play, take first steps and even run and explore. A few hidden clothing layers and blankets and snacks on the side kept everyone happy! Plus, I am not sure there is a cuter sibling duo out there? Big brother worked hard to keep his sister happy, and her face lit up every time he handed her a doll or snack. We had to make sure it wasn’t all work for him though, he got plenty of tosses from dad and hugs from mom in between!
