Rain Clouds

 After a mild, sunny winter, May has been unusually gloomy and a little disappointing for Colorado family photography.  Luckily, I was still able to have a few photo sessions.  This one definitely stands out as the shortest, darkest, and most rainy session on record.  It was also one of the most fun! We pulled up to the location right before it started storming, waited for the rain to pass, and did the entire session in the brief amount of time before another rain cloud appeared.  I love the rich velvety tones, dramatic skies, and big smiles in the resulting images.  Honestly this family is very special, they turned what could have been a miserable experience into a memorable adventure.  I think they are well equipped to handle any storms that come their way!
