After our visit to Colorado National Monument we arrived in Moab in time for a late lunch. We then continued on our quest to see as many National Parks as we could in a three day weekend. Arches National Park was on the agenda for the afternoon. We stopped by the visitor’s center to get oriented and watch a short video, and then drove through the expansive park, soaking up all the red rocks and amazing arch formations. We had trouble narrowing down a hike, but decided on climbing up to the recognizable Delicate Arch. This 3 mile hike was strange, as the arch is completely hidden the whole way up. So as your climbing and maybe scrambling up the slick rock, you have no idea how magnificient and large the arch will be. After reaching the arch and enjoying the expansive views, we drove back to Balanced Rock for a short hike, memorable sunset and balancing a few of our own rocks.
