Brothers

I photographed these brothers on a cold, but sun drenched Colorado afternoon. These boys love our local open space and spend hours exploring, fishing and climbing here in the summer. They will love having these photos from their childhood hangout to help them recollect memories in the future. Like my own two boys, these boys seem to be opposites. From their hair color to their unique personalities. I will leave you to guess which one enjoys being behind the camera…and which one despises it…I honestly don’t think you can tell in these images! Despite their difference, there is no denying they have a strong brotherly bond. No matter their differences, they will always be there for each other through thick and thin (after they wrestle each other of course).
I love photographing families at all age and stages, but I truly have loved photographing more in-between ages this year. School age kids who aren’t quite teens, but are no longer little kids anymore. This is such a great, fleeting stage of childhood. If you have children between 8-12 years old, make sure to capture this time in between babyhood and adolescence. It’s so fun seeing how much they have changed since they were toddling around and you can also see a glimpse of the adult they will too quickly become.
