Location, location, location!! It’s no secret that the Denver area is full of scenic landscapes and stunning views. One of the questions I am often asked as a Denver photographer is “where do your sessions take place?”. Everywhere! I travel all over the Denver and Boulder metro-areas for sessions. After many adventures and sessions, I have narrowed down some favorites spots based on lighting, accessibility and scenery. I am excited to share some of my top location ideas with you!
Here are a few things to consider when selecting a location for your Denver family photo session. First of all, consider the time of year. Some locations may look amazing in soft, cool winter light. Others might shine with the green grasses of early summer. Second, consider your family’s wardrobe. Do you like to wear trendy, modern clothes or do you feel more comfortable in a neutral palettes. Will you be comfortable sitting on a fence in a dress? Third, don’t forget about the drive! Some children do amazing on longer drives, others arrive grumpy and upset. How far does your family tolerate? Finally, consider where you will display your images. Will a vibrant mural flow with your distressed wood wall? Will a rustic barn work in your ultra-modern condo? I can help you with all these questions!
With all of that said, ultimately, your family is always the focus of our images. Whether we meet in a local park, your backyard or in the Rocky Mountains, your family’s love and connection will always be the subject of my art. Let’s make something amazing together!
