Mother’s Day at the Denver Art Museum

Only in Colorado do you wake up on Mother’s Day in May to almost a foot of snow.  We usually go to a garden store for a few spring plants and then head out for a hike, but for the second year in a row, it’s been too cold.  So we headed downtown for lunch and a visit to the Denver Art Museum.  This museum is such an incredible space, and the perfect inspiration for a Denver photographer.  In addition to an amazing collection of artwork and featured exhibitions, it’s very child friendly.  Even better, thanks to a generous grant, admission is free for children under 18 for the next several years.  This makes it the perfect affordable Denver family activity, and you don’t have to feel guilty leaving when your kids get tired and hungry.
I am trying to make an effort to bring my camera on more of our Denver adventures, but getting good photos in a crowded museum is difficult!  Glad I was able to quickly grab these snaps before the room filled up with strangers!
I would love to photograph your family’s adventures, email me info@julielivermorephotography.com for more details!
