For the love of reading

We have been fortunate to have remained safe and dry last week in the middle of massive flooding along Colorado’s Front Range. Our local schools, roads, and many businesses were all closed down last weekend. The Denver area basically received three-quarters of the yearly annual rainfall in one day! Sadly, over ten thousand people have been evacuated and thousands of homes have been completely destroyed. Feeling extra grateful that I was able to spend the extra days off school with my two boys, reading books, playing games, and watching movies safe in our home. As the weather dried out, we were all ready to get out of the house and spent some time one morning at our favorite bookstore. Love having this memory of my boys at this age and stage…and seeing what books they want to look through and read.
