Family is everything to me, and I am sure it is to you. I have been photographing families for nearly a decade, and in that period of time my own family has changed right before my eyes. It’s crazy to look back at photos from just a few short years ago…my boys were so little! Now, they are stretching out and it is as important as ever to be in photos together. I love having tangible evidence of our family’s story and want to create that for you as well.
My approach to family photography is to capture yours in a beautiful, natural way. I know not everyone loves being photographed, so I try to make our time together as painless as possible. We usually meet at an outdoor location, where your kids will have freedom to explore. After I get to know you a little in person, we will find a spot with great light. I will place you in flattering poses and guide you through the session in a way that encourages natural smiles and authentic interactions.
I know the biggest concern of most parents, is will their children cooperate? Well, after working with countless children of all ages, I can say they probably won’t. At least not for the entire hour. Usually because they get distracted running, climbing or playing. It’s ok, we will still get amazing images. I love when we are having so much fun that they forget why I am there!
