Spring Family Photo Session

I think this was the gloomiest Spring I have experienced since moving to Denver almost five years ago!! Not only has there been the typical afternoon storms, but also days upon days of cold rain and dark clouds. We rescheduled this spring family photo session several times before finally taking a chance on another cloudy day. Luckily the sun came out in Boulder as the sun was about to set… even though further east, there was a tornado warning!

I have photographed this family since their maternity session. Every session, they have incorporated a sentimental guitar. This year, Elliot got to play with her own little guitar. It was so sweet to watch her reaction when her dad got out his guitar…and then several minutes later when she got her hands on her own guitar! So special to pass down music and arts to our children!
