As a photographer, autumn is the busiest time of year. I am so grateful families choose to have me document their lives during this chilly, magical time. I am honored that my clients bring me into their lives.
I want to highlight some of the reasons why I feel family photos are “worth it!”
- Holiday season and cards: The first is pretty obvious and straightforward. The holiday season is a wonderful time to show off the kids and share updates with friends and family. I’m always delighted when I receive Holiday cards from my clients.
- Documenting the stage of life you are in. Some seasons are hectic and filled with kid’s events, programs, parties, sports and hobbies. Some seasons are sleepless with a young baby. Some are busy preparing your child for college, driving tests, and prom! What a great memory it is being able to look back and remember what you were going through that year.
- The years go by so quickly and before you know it your newborn is in high school. What a joy it is looking back through the years and seeing the missing teeth and the goofy smiles. Suddenly one year your child is taller than you. Having the growth spurts and awkward years documented is priceless.
- Lastly, you will never regret taking the photos, but you may regret not. Family photos are an investment. They are an undertaking. Coordinating schedules and outfits. Getting the kids fed and on location. Hoping that there are no meltdowns and everyone is happy and smiling. But I promise, you will never regret taking the photos.
