Boulder Family Photographer | Sunrise Session

Photography is all about light! As a Boulder family photographer, I typically meet my clients about an hour before sunset. This time frame is called the “golden hour” when the light is soft, warm most diffused. As a natural light photographer, the time of day is as important as selecting the location or your outfits. There is also another golden hour! That is the hour after sunrise. I love when a client requests a sunrise session! It’s so nice to meet at the most beautiful time of the morning and then have the whole day ahead of us. Obviously this works best for families with early risers.
In April, an early morning session can be hit or miss. It was chilly on this mid-April day. Spring is so late this year! But little Jamie was as sweet as can be. We all made the most of the chilly morning (the forecast for the next few weeks was just as chilly) and I love the images we captured. I can’t wait to see this family for their next session after Jamie is walking!
