In-home newborn photography in Denver is such a wonderful way to welcome in a new year! 2020 was unlike anything we have ever experienced with a global pandemic, but photographing so many new baby’s this month is bringing me hope for 2021! I met this wonderful couple at the end of last year for their maternity session. It was so fun to see them as new parent’s to their beautiful boy. December was a mild weather month, perfect for a Denver winter photo session. After a week of sun and warmer temps, the weather suddenly shifted and this session took place on a chilly afternoon! I am always open to try rescheduling, but with the holidays quickly approaching, we decided to embrace the beautiful winter scenery. Mom made sure her kids had warm under layers beneath their clothes and brought cute warm coats and blankets in case they got too chilly. I kept everyone busy running and playing! I have loved getting to know this family of three over the last few years! This year, mom was dreaming of a snowy winter photo session. Between her busy schedule as a health care provider and the warm December weather (snow in September and 70 degree days in December, what?!)…it was not an easy idea to execute.
