Snow Days

There is no bad time of year for Denver family photos! We have really been spoiled by beautiful sunny and mild weather this winter. But one thing I have learned from living in Colorado these last few years, is spring is anything but predictable! In fact, it is lightly snowing outside my door right now, and it’s almost April…and in a day or two we will be enjoying mid-70 degree temps.
I really enjoyed taking this family’s photos with a snowy winter backdrop this year! In typical Colorado fashion, there was snow on the ground, but the sky was blue and the sun was shining. This family first found me when I lived in Fort Collins. I photographed their daughter’s maternity and newborn sessions, and I adore seeing them every year for their family photos. Mom was leaving the next day for a long work trip, so it was so extra meaningful to capture these moments for her. And I have to say, little Tripp and Harper, were amazing for hiking through the snow with me on a cold winter day!
