Happy 12th Birthday to my sweet baby James! It’s hard to believe twelve years have passed since we became parents for the first time. I remember staring into your crib and wondering what you would be like as you got bigger. Right now I can still picture you as a baby in my arms, but also see glimpses of the man you are becoming. Your easy outbursts of laughter are a bright spot in our home. You started middle school last fall and easily made new friends. Your teachers remark that you are a natural leader, even though sometimes you spend a little too much time talking and making people laugh. You also show your leadership skills and determination at any sport you play. Right now we love watching you play basketball and master new skateboarding tricks. You have always had a strong sense of who you are, including what you wear and how you style your awesome red hair. We love you with all of our hearts!
